Mikael Ribbenvik Cassar is the Chair of the Management Board of The European Union Agency for Asylum – EUAA, an agency of the European Union mandated with supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asylum and international protection. Mohamed Nasheed is the Secretary-General of the Climate Vulnerable Forum and Former President of Maldives.

President Nasheed was elected Speaker of the Maldivian People’s Majlis (parliament) in May 2019, a position he held until November 2023.

In January 2024, he started work as Secretary-General of the Climate Vulnerable Forum, an international partnership of 68 countries highly vulnerable to a warming planet.
